Tips for making Cranberry Orange Cream Cheese Galette:

  1. Making homemade puff pastry is worth the effort for its exceptional flavor and texture. If you are short on time, feel free to use a store-bought puff pastry. If using a homemade puff pastry, be sure to use frozen butter and ice-cold water to keep the dough from becoming difficult to work with.
  2. Use fresh cranberries. It only takes 12 minutes to create the cranberry topping. Avoid using canned cranberries.
  3. Allow plenty of time for the galette to cool so that all the flavors set in completely and the center can deflate properly.
  4. Use fresh orange juice and zest. Using fresh flavors enhances the dessert.

How to store and reheat Cranberry Orange Cream Cheese Galette:

  1. Room Temperature: Store at room temperature, covered, for 1-2 days.
  2. Refrigerator: Store wrapped in a ziplock bag or an airtight container for 3-5 days.
  3. Freezer: Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe container or bag for up to 2-3 months.
  4. Reheat: To enjoy leftover slices with a crispier crust, reheat them gently in a preheated 350° F oven for 10-15 minutes.
