Ingredients
Method
Make the dough
- In a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, mix warm water, yeast, and honey. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the yeast to bloom.
- Add salt, melted butter, and flour gradually until a soft dough forms. Mix on a low to medium speed for 5-7 minutes.
- Cover and rise for 1 hour.
Shape the twists
- Punch the dough down, divide it into 8-10 pieces, and roll each into a long rope. Cut each rope in half lengthwise and gently twist the two strips together.
Baking soda bath
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, bring water and baking soda to a boil.
- Dip each twist in for 20-25 seconds.
Bake
- Place each twist on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake at 425°F for 14 minutes until deeply golden.
Butter & Hot Honey
- Mix butter, garlic, parsley, and hot honey.
- Brush pretzels immediately with hot honey butter.
- Enjoy!
